The real aim of multiculturalism is not to respect other cultures but to destroy white Christian culture. It's the old communist dream in a new guise, though destroying the old order is a good thing in itself to those who hate it. If white men or Christians were behaving like that, the British government and media would be foaming with outrage. As it is, there's no outcry because it's all in perfect accordance with multicultural doctrine: harm whites and teach them that their nations no longer belong to them.

Modern people believe in progress, development and evolution as unidirectional process. According to this belief, everyone is evolving towards common state, its only a matter of time. Barbarian or tribalist people are now considered to be "under-developed", "retarded", etc., as if they lived in earlier times. Cultural difference is substituted by temporal.

And here is the trap. They actually percieved to be our ancestors. And we must be nice with our ancestors, aren't we? That is especially true for conservatives, for whom honoring their ancestor is in the heart of their beliefs.

To fight that, we must stop thinking in terms of "development". Untill people believe in "development" as a unidirectional process towards common aim, the faith of multiculturalism is strong.

I think it is a meaningless code word for immigration.
For example, a multiculturalism enthusiast wants to replace white people with colored people, and a multiculturalism sceptic wants to keep Europe for Europeans.

In multiculturalism, culture really means race. No one has ever described the border between England and Scotland as a multicultural place where English culture meets Scottish culture. I don't think any leftist Scotsman supports the idea that Englishmen who move to Scotland should be allowed to preserve their own culture by living in a separate English community based in a multicultural Scotland. In fact, the word multiculturalism is only used when race is involved.

Is multiculturalism an antonym of assimilation? Is it the idea that racial groups living in a same country should be kept separate so they can preserve their culture? Is it the idea that different racial groups should be forced to live together so they can enjoy each other's culture? Is it the idea that a same person can have several distinct cultures in his head at the same time?

It isn't very clear.

I. Not unlike every major ideological position, multiculturalism has a conception of utopia - no doubt the acceptance of its tenets by every individual and group - and it also has a conception of failure and more specifically its opponents, namely nationalists, racialists and culturalists. Even aesthetic considerations, such as blond hair, fair skin and light or colored eyes are enough to make one a natural enemy of multiculturalism, as such a person reminds multiculturalists of German reels from the 1930s of "Aryans" doing group exercises, etc., an era where mulatto babies were not "so beautiful" and Muslims were 'over there'.

Which brings me to my second assertion: multiculturalism is a far more homogenizing force than the deconstructivist ethnic and cultural policies of the Soviet Union which amounted to Russification. Multiculturalists ultimately hope that in short order all humans resemble Polynesians and are united by a single global culture, because a single culture is the result of respecting every other culture's beliefs and practices, and repudiating one's own.
