Hjörtur J. Guðmundsson is director of the conservative free-market think tank Veritas, board member of Heimssýn, the Icelandic movement opposed to EU membership, and a member of the Icelandic Independence Party. Hjörtur is the author of many articles and essays published in a number of both Icelandic and foreign newspaper, journals, blogsites etc. on politics and history.
