Jan Lievens (°1974) is a Flemish patriot and a member of the Vlaams Belang party (Flemish Interest) whose ultimate goal it is to establish an independent and sovereign Flemish state in a confederal (as opposed to a federal) Europe. He is the chief-editor of the quarterly journal Vrij Vlaanderen (Free Flanders) and its more ideological annex Breuklijn (Watershed), both journals of the Youth section of the Vlaams Belang party. He has an avid interest in political philosophy and monitors a blog dedicated to American Conservatism.
