In reading this article from the Financial Times regarding the extreme-right National Democratic Party (NPD) of Germany and their loss of high-ranking members, one runs across this gem:

The two earlier defectors had voluntarily entered a state-backed programme to assist people “exiting from the far-right scene”, Mr Bauer said. In extreme cases defectors moved house in order to break social contacts, he added.

Just curious, is there a similar state-backed programme to assist people “exiting from the far-left scene”? Judging by the crowds in Montreal and Hong Kong there definitely seems to be an audience for such a program. Of course, as with any personal problem it is up to the individual to first admit they indeed have a problem.
