Shut Up, Europe!

A quote from Michael Freund in The Jerusalem Post, 14 March 2007
Even after the International Atomic Energy Agency revealed in 2003 that Iran had been conducting a secret nuclear program for 18 years aimed at enriching uranium, Europe went ahead and expanded its trade with the mullahs. The Continent's exports to Teheran rose 29% between 2003 and 2005 to nearly 13 billion euros. [...] The sick man is Europe, and it is time we started treating it as such.
Arming Khomeini

Israel armed the Iranian Mullahs, sold Weapons to Khomeini.
So, this complaints about European trading civilian goods with Iran are extreme hypocritical.
As for “sick man” , if Israel has an “healthy” economy, it should pay it´s bills themselves and no longer asks the American or German taxpayer to do this.
One wonders, why non-existent Iranian nuclear weapons are such a big deal and nobody talks about the “Islamic bomb” made in Pakistan?
... meaningless anti-European-establishment bashing ...
The ball is in your court Mr Belien.

For this you have to read about amin al husseini and cold war...
amin travelled to india.. in Dec.-1923
start from here... you will get the dirty politics.... why no one speaks against Pakistan.. and why no one speak against Bosnian Jihadis....
one speak... only when the threat comes on the head..... and this is the time... one one person cries tooo
Nevermind that

American trade with Iran also increased in that period... So I guess the alliance between the US and Israel isn't an alliance after all according to Mr Freund. There is plenty to critize in Europe's foreign policy but the cited source manages to find the one issue that is an non-issue... Faut le faire.
And double shame on the Brussels Journals editor who managed to pick it as a relevant quote. I come here to get some honest opinion on European current affairs but this site is turning more and more towards meaningless anti-European-establishment bashing with well thought out articles like we had in the beginning getting increasingly rare. That is disappointing. Hopefully Mr Belien can turn the ship around and bring some much needed variety (both in topics and opinions) on board.
Useful Idiots

Last time Europe make mistake.. when they set all Amin al husseini and Friends free for dirty perto-politics. Amin al husseini was convicted in Nürmberg trials.... but No, Amin was gateway to Arab oil..... who the hell cares..... let him build the jihadi army.... we have our oil, what we need.....
this time, Europe is investing in Iran.......
Sounds like Europe will never learn, and will always make sucide attemps.... Ach! the only word i want to say is "Useful idiots"

Given the legacy of the Shoah and accusations that European elites are villifying Israel and Jewry out of a sense of guilt, does it not follow that Israelis would be biased when commenting on European foreign and economic policy in Western Asia?
Shut up USA Haliburton is/was largest Iranian foreign supplier

Don't mind the fact that Haliburton was doing huge business there until they pulled out only recently. A normal US citizen would probably have been arrested for even going there.
Business As Usual?
Halliburton’s CEO says his company is pulling out of Iran. But a corporate subsidiary is still going ahead with a deal to develop Tehran’s natural gas fields

Trading with the Enemy?

Perhaps it is inherently European to trade with the enemy e.g. the Netherlands. War is temporary, business is forever.
