Teaching Non-Violence in Multicultural Berlin
From the desk of The Brussels Journal on Tue, 2007-06-26 17:12
A quote from the German press agency DPA, 26 June 2007
Violence at schools in immigrant-dominated districts of Berlin has soared in recent months, […] The violence reached a peak recently when two masked youths burst into a classroom at the Dag Hammerskjoeld School in the city’s Tempelhof district to attack a 58-year-old woman teacher. One beat the terrified teacher about the head and body with a steel rod, while the other tried to make off with her handbag. Pupils intervened, driving the intruders from the classroom. Curiously, the teacher was discussing the great late Indian leader Mahatma Ghandi’s political philosophy of “non-violence” at the time.

@ Amsterdamsky
A case of Deja Vue all over again, and again, and again, and then some,eh? Glad you liked it.
Prediction: When it Does hit Europe, our elites will no doubt spin it as 'Urbane'.(i.e. polite, refined and often elegant in manner).
Urban Riots

Thanks for the link Atlanticist very good article but I noticed this
"Chicago, where Mayor Richard J. Daley was not buying the liberal guilt trips of the time, was one of the few big Northern cities to escape the wave of riots that swept across the country in 1967."
Which is completely not true. The South Side of Chicago was devestated by rioting and the near south is only starting to recover now. The big difference is that it IS recovering where Detroit is now over 90% black and poor. I have heard there are over 20 15 story plus skyscrapers that are completely abandoned in Detroit. Coming soon to Europe I am afraid.
The Aftermath

Following Amsterdamsky's interesting mention of the Detroit riots, I thought I'd throw the following article into the mix:
Title: "Aftermath of the 1960's" by Thomas Sowell

I have seen this all before somewhere....it will end in black/muslim riots and white ethnic cleansing but it will be called something else like "race riots" or "rising up" by the historians.
Very Common in France

These type of attacks on teachers and particularly on female teachers, and also on non-arab kids are common in France in the arab-muslim suburbs. The french education system does not find teachers to go to these districts and is obliged to pay them lots more. And the non-arab population (french natives, portuguese, spanish and others) who can afford pack and leave. Ethnic cleansing in process...
The 'Karma' Generation Facing Kismet

You're right,of course. So,it would appear that the 'Karma Generation' hasn't resulted in a calmer generation. It's become the opposite,in fact.

And, as has been observed countless times, Ghandi is perhaps not so much as the fuss made over him. If he had been born in Eastern Europe instead of a Brit colony, his legacy would be a splash of blood on pavement somewhere......
Their just deserts?

What I find most interesting about the increasing numbers of reports like this from schools all over the West is that the same teaching profession which has for forty years been in the vanguard of the Left’s drive to inculcate leftist, anti-establishment values in the minds of our children now find themselves at the forefront of having to deal with the consequences.
Talk about you reap what you sow.
