Precisely so and where is it all going to end? What would happen if some 'New Age' nutcase  proclaimed himself a worshipper of the ancient god Molech? It just doesn't bear thinking about.

If polygamy, mistreatment of women, and jihad as a religious dogma aren't enough on their tolerance plates now, what are the Swedes or any of the lefty multi-culti loving Euroweenies going to do if the next horde of immigrants belong to a religion that endorses cannibalism?  Provide butchering classes?

I guess when you have degraded your own culture to the point where there is nothing left to defend, then, any dysfunctional behavior is deemed normal.  I think that is a big part of what is happening in Europe where Christianity and nationalism are vilified.  

God help the Swedes should  they suddenly fall prey to a large influx of Zoroastrians,Parsees and Tibetan Buddhists.What are they going to do when these people begin to demand their 'traditional' rights to the disposal of their dead?

I've come to believe that this whole veiled faces thing is another Muslim act of gaming the system in the west ploy. It has nothing to do with a religious dogma carved in stone but more to do with cornering secular western governments into submission.

Sadly, the Swedes, victims of their own lefty pc and misplaced multi-culturalism are willing to be cowered and manipulated.

In the day and age of terrorism, we need to see your face on a surviellance camera and in public places.  I'm with you, Dr. D, what the Swedish response should be is go back to Saudi Arabia or wherever if you can't conform.  That would take having a spine though. The Swedes are spineless dhimmis.

In Western culture, we expect to see who we are speaking to. Only bandits hide their faces. These women may claim that they are non-Western, but they are living in a Western culture (Sweden), and as such it is up to them to abide by the norms of the prevailing culture. Sweden is not Saudi Arabia, at least not yet!

It is completely backward, politically correct thinking that says that anyone has a right to violate the norms of the prevailing culture. Western culture is the foundation of all of our freedoms, and it is the only basis on which those freedoms will continue. (There are no freedoms at all in Izlamic culture; servitude is the order of the day from sun up to sun down and beyond.) It is extremely important that the norms of Western culture be preserved, including the expectation that all people be identified by seeing their faces at all times.

Only bandits and those in illicit activities hide their faces. All others are recognizable. This is the norm for very good reason. It must remain. Let us not be fools for PC.
