Incitement

It was rather difficult to comprehend after reading the opening paragraph in this Financial Times article:

Germany will on Tuesday call for the European Union to clamp down on the continent’s last tax havens, whose low taxes and bank secrecy rules it sees as an incitement to tax evasion.”

Pardon me, but is it not the hyper levels of taxation unfortunately found in many European countries which is the very true incitement for individuals to become motivated in the protection of their incomes/wealth?

Isn't It Time That the TaxPayer was Awarded Some Human Rights?

Certainly in Britain, it is a very simple manoeuvre for all TaxPayers to change the way they agree to work and be paid. And then it is just another simple move to place your income, beyond the Jurisdiction of the Treasury and HMRC.
At a stroke, the TaxPayer can remove the power to levy Taxation and deprive the central government of most of its revenue and the ability carry out any spending policy.
All that is needed then, is for the Parish, Town, District and County Council to agree to act as the collector of Taxation and the Local Treasury. Then the Local Economy can be revived and the benefit budget can be cut back to fraction of todays absolute Fraud. Now it is time to stand up for the Rights of the Taxpayer.

Abusive taxation is the cause

I am quite positive tax evasion is proportional to abusive taxation. If Obama gets elected the highest tax rate in New York will approach 70%. Expect a flurry of tax evasion in response which has not been a really big thing in the US since Reagan "reasonabilized" the tax code.
