I would regard any athlete who travels to China to take part in the Olympics to have a complete dis-regard for the value of Tibetan life and is therefore without honour .
One: sportsman do NOT have to get involved with politics.
Two: the Dalai Lama sais NOT to boycott the Olympic games for the sake of (democratic) development in China.
Why should we take notice of what he says? Because (a) we could presume that cultural genocide is the main problem at stake, (b) Buddhism is the main characteristic of the culture of Tibet and (c) the Dalai Lama is a relevant spokesman of Buddhism.
Nice cartoons Fré, thanks for sharing with us. Just saw the previous and I'm happy that these are posted on BJ.
I strongly believe in the power of Audio/Visual art. As wel on short as long terms.
The strength of it is that everyone can understand it without having to know a language, written or spoken.

If so, we should boycott these Olympics. :) One cannot deny that Olympic Games in Berlin and Moscow improved democratic developments. Frightening.
