Should the EU Countries Go to the UN’s Hate Fest?
From the desk of Elaib Harvey on Thu, 2009-03-12 09:22
The upcoming, so called Durban II festival of grievance that is the UN’s second “Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance” is bound, as happened to the first to become a anti-Semitic and anti Western hate fest.
The agenda is being drawn up by a panel chaired by Libya and includes Iran and Pakistan, so you will not be too suprised at its focus. Put it this way, one of the accredited NGOs going along is the 'Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign'.
Another taste of the lunacy is this paragraph from one of the preparatory texts:
Convinced that racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance manifest themselves in a differentiated manner for women and girls and may be among the factors leading to a deterioration in their living conditions, poverty, violence, multiple forms of discrimination and the limitation or denial of their human rights, and recognizing the need to integrate a gender perspective into relevant policies, strategies and programmes of action against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance in order to address multiple forms of discrimination,
I know that Jo Jackson once sang that it was different for girls, but how is racism different?
Canada, the US and Israel have already announced that they will not be going. So has Italy. But why on earth are the other EU countries going?
Should the EU go to Durban II?

In a quick shot, NO! On the serious side I doubt the EU will back out as it will be afraid of the backlash from the islamic population and what negative benefits that may result. The EU has been a harsh critic of israel, and it's policies while at the same time giving alot of aid and comfort to the the islamofacist parties in gazastan that are 100% committed to Israel's derstruction. I think the the current wave of anti-semitism that is sweeping the European continent and beyond is not just a phase or the temporary actions of a just a few islamic nut cases. Europe has deep ties to many islamic countries and by not attending Durban II, Europe would be slapping the face of islam in general, not a good thing when you have islamofacists protesting in streets, and with pronounced violence within many of these protests.
I do not think the EU has the moxy, huevos, balls, whatever one wants to call it to step away from the conference that will just degenerate into the same thing as Durban I. This would require the EU to see Durban II for what it really is, an anti-semitic turkey shoot at Israel, zionism and anyone who supports Jews or Israel. There is alawys the remote possibility that Durban II might turn out to otherwise but I doubt it. Islam has turned the international community into nations of cowards who are are afraid to say ANYTHING against islam or muslims. One only has to look at the actions of the OIC and the how the muslims are behaving at the UN. They are trying to make sure any criticism against islam or mulisms is banned altogether, trying to effectively muzzle free speech and thoughts.
It would seem that "intolerance" is very much in the eye of the beholder at the UN, and that objective (empirically verifiable) criteria are beyond its mental reach. Such is the deplorable nature of the misnamed "international community" and, inevitably, of "international law" as well.
Indeed, and well put. International law is a joke, at best. Intolerance is in and it's reach is way beyond the UN. I would love to see the USA pull out of the UN completey, and let it collaspse inwards onto itself. This will not happen of course with Obuma in the White House nor with his cabinet appoinments of politicians that crow the pro islamic talk and are well know for their collective dislike of Israel, and Jews in general. The EU could be out in front by not participating in this conference and gain back a ton of admiration and prestige on the world stage. I hope and PRAY that the EU is up to this test for there is much more on the line than appears at the surface.
excuse my language

The 'Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall'...
Let's all get behind this movement and make that wall history. And the more Arab Muslims who show solidarity with the "Anti-Apartheid Wall" Campaigners the better, I say.
We are talking about this wall, right?

Q.: Why are the other EU countries going?
A-1: Because they can not YET admit that they were wrong in going the first time (Durbin I) and surely wrong for not walking out the first time.
A-2: Because of perverse cultural self-hatred and inability to hold others to minimum standards.
It would seem that "intolerance" is very much in the eye of the beholder at the UN, and that objective (empirically verifiable) criteria are beyond its mental reach. Such is the deplorable nature of the misnamed "international community" and, inevitably, of "international law" as well.
