Hi there. I am a Maltese citizen, and I am one of the growing number who are realising that we, as Maltese, are being betrayed by a government who never fails to rise to the occasion to kowtow to the sacred cow of political correctness or to grovel abjectly at the first word uttered his masters at Brussels, all the while, accepting ever growing numbers of illegal immigrants with no regard to our security, and indeed with no regard to how our tiny country will be able to support such an influx.

500 years ago my forefathers saved Europe from the islamic invasion of the Ottoman Empire. Today the traitors in government are making my country a bus stop for illegal immigrants - a springboard from where any African can leap into the European heartland. Increasingly people who speak out against this suicidal policy are being silenced, denigrated and defamed.

This year it appears likely that due to a change in European legislation, Malta will be responsible for rescuing and hosting all illegal immigrants found throughout most of the Mediterranean, from Tunisia to Crete. Such an unprecedented influx will no doubt massively overload our detention centres, forcing all immigrants to be let out unchecked, whether they qualify for refugee status or not, no matter their possible criminal background, no matter what contagious diseases they might carry. Malta is a small overcrowded island with a population of 400,000. The health problems alone this invasion is liable to cause will be unprecedented in this country since the medieval plague and our health services are not equipped to cope!
It appears after all that Frattini's call for Malta to become a "mega-detention centre" will be foisted on us whether we want it or not. Our country is being slowly stolen from us, but if I know my countrymen, no Maltese will let this happen without a fight. 500 years ago our forefathers saved Europe. I believe in the freedom of speech. Actually I believe in an unlimited freedom of speech: The freedom of speech is at the core of every living democracy. Once we start limiting it, we are in serious troubles.
These 'angry Muslims' however only reckon with the fact that there are restricting laws, they do not look into the judicial impact of these restrictions - the impact being that it is, once again, very difficult to convict someone based on such restrictions - the impact is almost none. Especially in the last couple of years / decade(s). We are even talking about changing our Constitution(s) to broaden the freedom of speech. Although restrictions exist, the Western culture is one of great tolerance. Lets just say the Arab world is not famous for íts level of tolerance towards those who disagree with the majority opinion - This "Malta Story" shows that

This is why followers of Islam, is the greatest threat to democracies everywhere, every time any issues comes into conflict with their beliefs they go absolutely nuts and demand apologies and things to change so they conform with Islam, even in non Islamic countries, and there is absolutely no reasoning with them, if their demands are not met they will declare jihad, no matter how scientific, historic, humorous, innocent etc. the issue might be to the rest of the world.
