The Prime Minister rapidly distanced himself from Dr Williams [the Archbishop of Canterbury]'s view. Gordon Brown's spokesman said: "Our general position is that sharia law cannot be used as a justification for committing breaches of English law, nor should the principles of sharia law be included in a civil court for resolving contractual disputes.

Maybe you are right?  And I was showing off my limited German by mistakenly making reference earlier to: der, des, dem, den....Kappert!   Maybe, the proper 'definite articles' should have been: die, der, der, die....Kappert.   Here is material for John Cleese to work with.

Muslim muezzins introducing Gregorian chants? Interesting.
Christians praying 5 times a day? No time for that.
