Your anger and frustration is nothing compared to how many Europeans are feeling.

More and more Europeans are getting really tired of the political and “cultural” elite, their acceptance of everything “exotic” and hatred of their own people. This is combined with the usual corruption of power which makes people who initially had some common sense become more interested in short term personal gains save long term societal survival.

Regarding huge strikes and road blocks, you both know that is not possible by now. It never happens in a time where most people still get their daily bread and entertainment (and an iPod). Especially not in a Europe where the vast majority has experienced nothing but peace and prosperity for more than sixty years. We have had nothing to fight for and we have gotten used to secularization, democracy and freedom of speech. Most Europeans can’t in their wildest dreams imagine that their countries should experience anything worse than a mild inflation and maybe a little gang violence. For people to realize the graveness of the situation we need to be very, very pressured.

There is some hope though. It is very clear that more and more people are waking up. You will not believe the change that has happened in peoples’ minds during the last 10 years. In the 90s any criticism (no matter how small) of islam would immediately lead to accusations of racism and Nazism from all layers of society. Today these accusations only come from “the good people”, usually high income reality-distanced naivists (you now, the NY-Times segment) and their yelling is getting more and more frustrated and more and more extreme, a good sign that they feel pressured. The whole immigration debate has also changed from accepting anything because it is their culture, to requiring that they integrate (even though the solutions to integration usually are idiotic and ineffective).

Among the majority there is now a feeling that something is not right, and that measures need to be taken to ensure our safety. It is not yet awareness per se, but unquestionably a slow awakening.

Regarding elections there are some big problems to overcome. Most parties are either avoiding the problem or promoting immigration. The parties which are raising the islam problem have often been demonized by the “good people” since the times when criticism was regarded racist, and it is a big step for people to vote for these parties, because they consider it as the final recognition of the Islamic evil. They finally have to admit to themselves that everything they were taught (and believed) regarding the “beauty of multiculturalism” is a lie. But still these parties are gaining votes in pretty much every election in pretty much all of Europe.

I have no doubt that the European peoples (in plural because we are not one people) are waking up, even the dhimmified Swedes I talk with (one on one, and especially after a beer or two) appreciate that this is going very wrong. But it is a very slow road and the question is; will we awake before a bloodbath is inevitable, unfortunately I don’t believe so. The good thing is that if we win that future fight, we will have learned a hell of a lot about survival and of political correctness.

I base my impression of what we Europeans think on three factors 1. My personal experiences: I live abroad my own country, most of my friends are from all around Europe, I travel a lot and I talk to people of all layers of society. 2. Election results and opinion polls in Europe 3. How I experience the shift in the public discourse. I purposely leave the European Union and its undermining of our civil liberties out of this debate, even though it has some relevance.

A short comment on the American situation: You too have some huge issues with the demographic shift you are experiencing. Be careful not to lay your focus entirely on our problems. Obama on one hand and the liberal Republican, McCain, on the other hand are not good options to solve these problems.

In political or just plain ole' "common sense" terms, we call this "treason" and/or giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

This Woman Enrages Me & I'm not even a Belgium...

And she lives off the backs of the Belgium taxpayer. That treasonous piece of trash (I'm being nice here) needs to have a job or two, so she won't have the time to suck the taxpayers dry and wage a jihadist war against her own nation. Oh the welfare socialist state and Islamism, such a perfect match made in "heaven". Jihadists, i.e. Islamic fascists or simply Muslims, are living off the dole throughout Europe and Great Britain, supporting their wives and large number of children, as many of them plot and plan (or simply do nothing and be silent about the evil done in the name of their "Religon of Peace") to bring the government and the masses under submission to the barbaric unenlightened political & religious tyranny of Islam & Sharia law.

The woman needs a trial for being a traitor, then a noose or a bullet. The fact that we are at war with Islam, yet the leadership is to dhimmi, deluded and foolish to recognize such, I wouldn't lose any sleep if the government decided to forego the trial as to such Muslims as this treasonous woman.

I've taken a speech of General Stonewall Jackson from the movie "Gods & Generals", and have adapted and modified it to the current Islamic invasion, both within and without, of Europe which is as follows:

Show them the black flag giving the Islamic enemy no quarter.

If I had my way we would show no quarter to the Islamic enemy. The black flag Sir. If the Muslims triumph, it is not alone the destruction of our property. It is the prelude to tyranny, slavery - the ultimate loss of freedom and responsible enlightened government on this continent. It is the triumph of fascism, barbaric sharia law over common law, and of the false "crescent moon god Allah" for a season. We should meet the Islamic invader on the outer verge of just and right defence and the enemy within as well and raise at once the black flag. No quarter to the violators of our homes and firesides... Our political leadership in Brussels and throughout the political capitals of Western Europe are too timid and dhimmi to face the reality of this war and the gathering storm of civil war to come. Only the black flag will bring the Muslims quickly to their senses for it is the only "language" these barbarians understand.

That this disgusting sociopath is protected and sheltered in Brussels, and you can bet she is a well known entity there, and that she hasn't been thrown out of the EU is stomach churning. She and her ilk I'm sure are well established in every major city in Europe. I don't know who I have more contempt for, vile homicidal creeps like her or the Europeans that accomodate them. You can blame the political elites to a point, but, the hubris, ignorance and passivity of the native European sheeple is just as disgusting.

 

There will be no public outcry, nor street demonstration, nor a swarm of angry young bloggers demanding the press and politicians take notice and correct this. Count on that.  You can also count on Americans never ever again lifting a finger to help Europeans out of the rot they have again descended into. 

"They would make me a living martyr." - By its very definition a martyr is dead. :-)

Even if the living adjective were to be entertained, then it would not apply because she is not going to goal for failing to renounce her religion.

Belgian ? I thought you were the one who didn't believe in the segregation of humankind by national boundaries.

I have a much better idea than imprisonment: Throw her out of the country, back where she belongs.

Who is this "We" you mention? Don't you mean "You"? And if you do, perhaps you could tell us if you agree with this particular example of "lobbying".  

In economic terms we call that 'lobbying'.
