Sweden: The Country that Sacrifices its Children, and Celebrates

Sweden is a country that has virtually no public debate about mass immigration, which continues at full speed. The Swedish political and media elites pride themselves on their Multicultural goodness. If sacrificing your own children is the definition of good, then exactly what constitutes evil?

The following series of quotes iillustrates the Swedish disease.

Socialism Perverts the Family

A quote from Oskari Juurikkala at Mises.org, 24 January 2007

“People will always have children,” assured Konrad Adenauer, the German Chancellor, in 1957. He was convinced that the future of the brave new pay-as-you-go social security system would not be undermined by demographic changes. Adenauer was as wrong as ever. […] [S]ocial security replaces children and the family as the main support in old age by literally socializing the traditional duties of the family. Why have children when the state will take care of you in your old age? […]

Every kind of socialism creates perverse incentives, and socialism directed to the family perverts the family.

Britain Berserk: Zero to Counter Islamophobia

A quote from The Daily Mail, 25 January 2007

Children will be taught race relations and multiculturalism with every subject they study –from Spanish to science – under controversial changes to the school curriculum announced by the Government. In music and art, they could have to learn Indian and Chinese songs and instruments, and West African drumming In maths and science, key Muslim contributions such algebra and the number zero will be emphasised to counter Islamophobia. […]

Under the recommendations – put forward in a report by former headmaster Sir Keith Ajegbo – teachers will be expected to make ‘explicit references to cultural diversity’ in as many subjects as possible. […] Pupils could even be tested on their attitudes to diversity in A-level and GCSEs, which will be redrafted to ensure they include ‘issues related to diversity’.

Incompatible

A quote from Associated Press, 27 January 2007

France’s Socialist Party on Saturday expelled a politician who said there were too many black players on the national soccer team, party officials said. Georges Freche was quoted by Midi Libre newspaper in November as saying he was ashamed that as many as nine of 11 starters on the French team were black. “It would be normal if there were three or four, that would be a reflection of society,” Freche was quoted as saying. “But if there are so many, it’s because whites are no good. I’m ashamed for this country.”

On Fascism and Homophobia

The court of Appeal in Douai [Dowaai in Dutch], in the French northern province of Flanders (adjacent to the Belgian Dutch-speaking region of Flanders), has convicted a member of the French Parliament for his views on homosexuality. Christian Vanneste, an MP of the ruling UMP party, had said that “heterosexuality is morally superior to homosexuality.” He also said that “homosexual behaviour endangers the survival of humanity.” This is a statement one is no longer allowed to make in France.

On Fascism and Islamophobia

The Swedish news website The Local writes about The Holocaust: Sweden’s complex legacy. That’s great. Unfortunately, it quickly degenerates into bashing all those who oppose Sweden’s policies of mass migration. According to The Local, “Leading the campaign for Holocaust education is the Forum for Living History, a government agency commissioned to promote democracy and human rights, with the Holocaust as its point of reference. Reports and studies published by the Forum deal with various forms of modern intolerance amongst young Swedes, including Islamophobia.”

Brussels Berserk: Belgium Forbids 18 and 88

Patrick Dewael, the Belgian minister of the Interior, has forbidden the wearing of football shirts displaying the numbers 18 and 88. According to the Liberal minister the number 18 stands for “Adolf Hitler” and the number 88 for “Heil Hitler.” A is the 1st letter of the alphabet, H the 8th.

The numbers 37 (Che Guevara) or 13 (Mao) are not forbidden. Neither are the popular T-shirts with Che Guevara’s portrait.

One reader in a Brussels paper wondered whether citizens living in houses with the numbers 18 and 88 will be blacklisted as Nazis by the authorities. Young people born in 1988, who have email addresses containing their year of birth, are worried too.

From an American Reader

An American reader sent me the following message:

“It is difficult at times to feel sorry for Europe as we have watched the majority of the population slouch off to a peculiar model of socialism.

A model that is seemingly strange to even European socialists. This model of utopia, that is so attractive to the European elite, has done everything from helping breed Islamic terrorism in its early days to taking away such cultural uniqueness as the British pint. It is hard not to say we told you so but you sleep in the bed you make.

Good luck.”

Animal Welfare and Belgian Morality

Belgium is going to vote a bill which forbids humans from having sex with animals. Recently a Belgian man who had sexual intercourse with his bitch was acquitted in court. The judge argued that he had done nothing illegal since there is no law prohibiting sex with dogs. Last week the Belgian Senate refused to institute a prohibition of sex with animals. On Tuesday, however, a majority in the Health Committee of the Belgian House of Representatives, which can introduce bills without the approval of the Senate, deemed that intercourse between men and beasts is harmful for the animals and decided to prohibit it as part of the new Animal Welfare Act.

France and the Iranian Revolution

Now that the Islamic Republic of Iran is in the news with its suspected nuclear weapons program, it could be good to pause and reflect for a moment on who contributed to the Islamic Republic being established in the late 1970s, probably the one event next to the influx of oil money to Saudi Arabia – and possibly the establishment of the Eurabian networks which all happened in the 70s – that was chiefly responsible for the global resurgence of Jihad. The inaction and general incompetence displayed by former US President Jimmy Carter, today an apologist for the Islamic Jihad against Israel, certainly contributed, but we mustn’t forget former French President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.

The irony is that while the Ayatollah Khomeini could establish an Islamic state directed from the suburbs of Paris, the French 30 years later have hundreds of Islamic mini-states on French soil. Khomeini and his cronies used this window of opportunity at a critical stage of the uprising against the Shah to consolidate their power and establish their lead over the direction of which the Revolution was heading.
